Chicken salad in a jar
- 2 Tbsp salad dressing-I usually choose balsamic vinaigrette, olive oil & balsamic vinegar, or fresh salsa
- sprinkle: cheddar or feta cheese-you can use any cheese you like except highly processed cheeses
- 1 handful chicken pieces, cooked-any part of the chicken you enjoy
- 1 cup salad veggies-my “go to” veggies are carrots, tomatoes, red onions, bell pepper, cucumbers
- 1 cup mixed lettuce and/or spinach
- 1 wide-mouth quart jar
- In a 1 quart wide-mouth jar layer your ingredients. Wet ingredients, such as salad dressing, tomatoes, and salsa go on the bottom.
- Add cheese, then veggies.
- Lettuce goes on top.
- When you are ready to eat, shake the jar to mix ingredients and pour into a bowl. Voila!
