• 1 lg Chicken, whole
  • 1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Onion, chopped


  1. Combine the dried spices in a small bowl.
  2. Place the chopped onion on the bottom of the Crockpot.
  3. Remove any pieces from the chicken and then rub the spice mixture all over. Put some spices underneath the skin and in the inside cavity of the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken, breast down on top of the onions in the Crockpot and cover.
  5. Cook for approximately 4 hours on low until the chicken is falling off of the bone. Careful not to overcook, as the breast may be dry.
