- 1 lg Chicken, whole
- 1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 Onion, chopped
- Combine the dried spices in a small bowl.
- Place the chopped onion on the bottom of the Crockpot.
- Remove any pieces from the chicken and then rub the spice mixture all over. Put some spices underneath the skin and in the inside cavity of the chicken.
- Place the chicken, breast down on top of the onions in the Crockpot and cover.
- Cook for approximately 4 hours on low until the chicken is falling off of the bone. Careful not to overcook, as the breast may be dry.
