Hamburger Patties

  • 1 lb Ground beef, grass-fed preferably
  • 4 oz Liver, beef or chicken, ground (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, lard, or tallow or other cooking fat
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 Egg preferably from a pastured chicken
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  1. Melt butter or other cooking fat in large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chopped onion until soft and translucent, and then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the ground beef, ground liver, egg, water, cayenne pepper, salt, and minced garlic in the mixing bowl. Gently mix thoroughly.
  3. Pat the ground beef mixture into 6 patties.
  4. Place your skillet back on medium heat. Add the burgers to the pan and cover for about 5 minutes and then flip the patties.
  5. Once the patties are cooked they are ready to serve.
