The key to a good salad is getting the right salad dressing. This Tahini Garlic Lemon Salad Dressing is perfect flavor combination. Tahini is best known for it’s role in making hummus. Made from blended sesame seeds (similar to peanut butter being made from peanuts), it provides a nutty, savory essence. This being paired with the acid from lemon + the warmth from garlic makes a divine zing to top the most basic salad.
Tahini Garlic Lemon Salad Dressing
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh squeezed is best
- 2 tablespoons water, warm will make it easier to whisk
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
- pinch of Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl. Adjust the consistency with water as needed. Additionally you can adjust add more salt or lemon juice to match your taste buds.
This makes approximately 2 servings that are 2 1/2 tablespoons.
